Advanced users will appreciate the 3.5mm wired IR input on the rear of the device. This input is designed to be compatible with Xantech, Control4, and other IR distribution or home automation (HA) systems.
The wired IR input accepts signals from 4-12VDC either baseband or modulated and will automatically adjust to the incoming signal. You only need to tell the ps3toothfairy to use its external IR, it will figure out the rest on its own. The input is a standard 3.5mm stereo connector (tip=signal, ring/sleeve=ground). The ELITE model is perfect for advanced DIYers, home automation enthusiasts, or custom installers looking for an easy way to integrate a PS3 system.

I have, and will continue to, recommend the ps3toothfairy to those who are wanting to control their PS3 with a universal remote. I have been using the PS3TF for over 2 months now with a Harmony 550, and it has worked exactly as I had hoped since day 1. I had a few questions about the initial pairing that needed some clarification, and customer service was extremely quick to respond. I honestly could not be happier with my purchase!

I highly recommend the ps3toothfairy. It does everything Sony should have done. Integrating the device into my Harmony One activities was a breeze. I especially like the power tracking and builtin shutdown macro. I no longer come home to find out the kids left the ps3 on all day. Another notable feature is the ability to control the brightness of the led for those that dislike distracting lights in their home theater. Plus it doesn't keep stealing the controller 1 slot like the Nyko dongle.
Support has been superb. Email is typically answered within a day -- unlike one of the competing products that took almost a month to answer questions! You won't regret choosing the ps3toothfairy.

The ps3toothfairy is fantastic! Finally a device which gives me full control of my PS3 from my universal remote. I am currently using the Elite model with my Harmony 1000 and RF extender via the 3.5mm wired input and could not be happier. The OFF macro is so cool. The device is working exactly as advertised and was a snap to set up. Simply program your remote, if you are using a harmony product this is easy as the ps3toothfairy is already in their database, then plug in the ps3toothfairy and pair it to your ps3 and you are done. This device also has many user configurable options which make the device highly customizable. Support is also excellent. Thanks again for a GREAT product.
